I stumbled upon the
Sitka Center while exploring the Oregon Coast one summer. Perched above the Pacific Ocean, Sitka offers an interdisciplinary residency and workshop program for those interested in studying art and science, and often both at once. This approach is now being applied here in Jackson Hole at the Teton Artlab.
Our
residents are encouraged to explore the natural surroundings and use the local resources of organizations like the
National Park Service,
Teton Science School,
Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, and
Jackson Hole Historical Society to enhance their residency experience.
